Why buy a squire when this cost less?
I build these guitars to exacting specifications. This guitar feels and plays great! It has a thinner body and is more comfortable to play, than the thicker and heavier vintage bodies. I added a full-size solid-brass tremolo block to provide that full sustain and rich sound. All of the parts are brand new.
The setup specifications are perfect:
- Neck relief 0.010" (Double action truss rod!)
- 1st fret actions; Low E (0.025"), A (0.022"), D (0.020"), G (0.016), B (0.014"), Treble E (0.011").
- 12th fret actions; Low E (0.065"), A (0.059"), D (0.059"), G (0.059"), B (0.059"), Treble E (0.057").
- The strings follow the neck radius with a slightly lower action on the high treble E versus the bass E.
- Fretboard radius - 12
- Saddle radius - 12
- The radius of the saddles are matched to the radius of the fretboard.
- String height above pickups
- Bass; Bridge (0.094"), Middle (0.094"), Neck (0.094")
- Treble; Bridge (0.078"), Middle (0.078"), Neck (0.078")
Pickup Resistances (K-Ohms):
- Bridge (5.60), Middle (5.30), Neck (5.10)
The relic finish is hand applied to look old, however the guitar feels and plays like new.
