We work a lot with Nashville-area guitar builder, Clay Alden. His lo-fi designs are affordable and very playable (and we can also vouch for him being a very funny guy).
This Alden Original Rawcaster is made from something poplar-ish (we’re actually not sure). The body is finished in a transparent blue, with sanded edges (no binding). The pickguard is a 3-ply white. Any distressing is totally original and authentic.
The satin-finished maple neck and rosewood fretboard offer a comfortable C-shaped profile. Alden winds all his own pickups, leaning toward a vintage tone profile, and they're built to rock—or twang, as the case may be.
