Mid-Missouri (now Big Muddy) Mandolin company Octave mandolin, probably mid-90's. This is a hand built flat top instrument with solid spruce top and beautiful solid flame maple back and sides, finished a light matte (which I think is shellac). 22" scale, 1 3/8 nut. Mid Missouri did not make a lot of these so they are a little bit rare. Great instrument. Compare to a Pac Rim instrument, which will cost $800 and be slathered in poly and will not have the woods or the tone. I've tried them and that's what I found. Neck is straight, truss rod good, action low, no problems or cracks. Great condition. Includes a hard case that is acceptable, not quite the right size but does the job (with a piece of foam).
Will consider trades - looking for an Irish bouzouki long scale, or possibly an F model mando.
