In 1954, a small company out of Fullerton, California designed and released an instrument that would forever change the face of music. The Fender Stratocaster emerged with innovative design, a stylish look, and a sound that would permanently cement itself as a staple in everything from old school country to good old fashioned rock and roll and everything in between. In commemoration of its 60th anniversary, Fender presents the Custom Shop Limited Edition Golden ‘50s 1954 Stratocaster, decked head to toe with authentically recreated parts as well as contemporary specs for the modern player. It features a 1954 “U” shaped maple neck with a modern 9.5” radius fingerboard and tall 6105 frets. In addition, it is loaded with 3 new single-coil 1954 Strat pickups to embody the timeless tone of the original. To top it all off, Fender has given it a heavy relic treatment to accurately simulate the love marks and wear of a true vintage guitar.
