About This Listing

This is a very unique Stadium mandolin originally purchased in 2009 for $250. Unfortunately, due to my Uncle’s passing, it has spent the better part of a decade sitting and waiting to be played. At the time of purchasing, my uncle considered the $250 price tag a steal.

It is hard for me to identify the exact model/other information about the instrument, so I went back into my Uncle’s old forum posts to see what he had to say about the instrument. Here is a link to a Mandolin Cafe forum discussing Stadium mandos and their reputation etc. My uncle (under the screen name “mandoughnollij”) is the 12th post down on this thread, and the instrument he is referring to in the post is this very mandolin.

Stadium mandolins like this one have experienced a cult revival in the last decade or two, and many consider them to be of a playing quality much higher than their price would indicate.

Though this instrument is a little scratched up, the setup is perfect and there are no physical signs of issues, as my uncle indicated in his original forum post. Since then, the quality has remained exactly the same.

Thank you for considering! This is a wonderful instrument and I hope it finds a good home.
