This is a Stradivarius Copy from the Federated Teachers Service Corporation. The violin was recently set-up by Holly Leaf Luthiers. They appraised and dated the instrument to 1917 and said it was most likely made in Italy. They did an excellent job and it plays really well. The work we had done is as follows:
- 4/4
- New Strings
- Milled/Adjusted String Pegs
- Milled/Adjusted Bridge
- Milled Nut
- Replaced Tail gut with Nylon Tail Gut
- Adjusted Tailpiece
- Milled/Adjusted Sound Post
- Replaced and Addes Fine Tune Machines
- Lubricated Chin Rest Adjusters
- Inspected Interior/Exterior
The violin has been well taken care of. The wood is in great condition. The violin doesn't have any issue however the fingerboard does show signs of wear, the endpin, string pegs, tailpiece are stained maple.
Overall it's a great playing violin with a very nice sound. No bow or case is included.
