The Red Fox (1997)

Inspired by master banjoist Bill Emerson, the Red Fox  is a favorite of many banjo players with  universal appeal and acceptance as a classic banjo design. The fancy curly maple used in this model is enhanced by the reddish stain. The Red Fox in the peghead and the abalone maple leaves in the fingerboard help to make this a very striking model.  Tuning keys 2 and 3 have Keith tuners. This is one of the first maple Red Fox produced with nickel hardware and armrest. This banjo has a gorgeous resonator that supplies a rich, warm tone.  Exceptionally free from dings and nicks. Some ageing on metal, pictured, should clean right up The fret board is ebony with maple leaves inlaid and the headstock has a gorgeous red fox inlaid and the Stelling logo.  A stick-on electric pickup has been added.  It comes complete with the original Stelling hardshell case in good condition.
