This is a super rare 17” guitar, built by the top Regal craftsmen of the depression era. I've had it for about seven years, and I've never seen another one. It has a very comfortable 1 3/4" neck, with a flattish C profile. Very cool MOTS headstock, and the frets are excellent, though maybe not original. You can see it's got the original Regal "lobster claw" guard, and chrome B and D tailpiece still intact. The bridge has a tad more room to go down, but it plays very easily and has remained stable and playable these last years. No cracks, original finish, a few scratches and two little spots where the binding has separated, but is not lifting. The tuners look original but I can't be sure. It's spruce with mahogany back and sides, so it's a little more resonant than maple. I would characterize it as closer to a high end Epiphone sound than Gibson, and it also has a tighter waist like the '30's Epi's had. It's very responsive, with a thin top, and is extremely light. This is also very loud, and has held its own in jam sessions with other axes... Kind of straddles the line between archtop and flattop, but has the attack of an archtop, and does the gypsy thing very well. Comes with what appears to be OHSC... email me if you have more questions... jamf
