1957 Gibson Super 400 in its original brilliant Sunburst finish which shows off its incredible flame maple back, sides, and neck. It has a great playing neck with good frets as it has been re-fretted. The action isn't very low, but the bridge is adjusted as far down as it can be. The bottom of the bridge base was filed down at some point in time to help lower the action. It's all original with the exception of the '60's Gibson bridge, frets, the nut, and the small gold nut on the end of the pickguard bracket screw. It's also 100% complete including its original hardshell case which has a broken handle. This vintage S-400-C looks great with only minor nicks + dings, very little extremely minor finish checking, and other cosmetic wear. There are extra screw holes on the side of the neck near the base where an aftermarket pickup had been installed. Everything remains structurally sound with no cracks, breaks, or repairs.
