The Collings 0-41 12-fret custom is reminiscent of the turn of the century builds of over 100 years ago. Timeless and classy, this visually stunning and amazing sounding comfortable build features premium tonewoods and hand inlaid Pearl 0-41 style top border and rosette, torch headstock inlay and 42 style snowflake fretboard inlays. Colorful striking Cocobolo back and sides is paired perfectly with the clean and light German Spruce top for excellent projection, volume and midrange punch. The Ebony pyramid bridge and fretboard, full Ivoroid bindings, Style 3 multi-color back strip and engraved Waverly tuners on the slotted headstock all add to the vintage vibe.
With softer contours and a longer body dimension than the 0 14-Fret model, the Collings 0 12-Fret has a balanced and full tone with slightly more bass and overall volume. First introduced in 1854, the articulate tone and convenient size of the “0” 12-Fret body dimensions have remained popular to this day. Featuring a comfortable short 24 7/8″ scale with a comfortable custom 1 3/4″ nut width and 2 3/16″ saddle spacing at the bridge, this model is well suited to both finger style and strumming techniques and excels as a recording instrument. Convenient as a travel guitar but with the authoritative tone of a performance instrument, the Collings 0-41 is a versatile choice for any guitarist.
