(NEW) The new C100 from Collings will appeal to players who are tired of full-size dreadnoughts and jumbos, but want something with a little more "oomph" than your average OM or 00. This Deluxe example is the first built with a German spruce top, and the aesthetics of this instrument are clean, clean, clean!
The C100 splits the difference between the Collings C10, essentially an L-00, and their Small Jumbo. The lower bout on the C100 is almost 16", and the body depth at the tail approaches that of a standard dread... but the guitar is smaller and lighter than either a dread or a small jumbo.
This guitar has Indian rosewood back and sides, Deluxe appointments including full body/neck/peghead binding in ivoroid, wood back strip, and Waverly tuners. The neck is Collings' comfortable "C" profile, with 1 11/16" nut width and 2 3/16" string spacing at the saddle. Full 25 1/2" scale means plenty of volume, punch and projection. Waverly tuners, includes TKL hard case.
