Less than 500 of these made back in the day, and only made for less than 2 years by Guild...........just what you need if you are doing a 1980's tribute band gig. Really fun guitar, plays like a dream, all electronics have been professionally gone thru and cleaned. Fret-board and frets shows virtually zero wear and board is freshly oiled and frets polished. Neck is incredibly fast and a joy to play. Guitar is remarkably well-balanced and comfortable when you are standing and using a strap. Single EMG pickup sounds great...........no tone control, just flat-out "attitude"!
The purple and pink ones hold a collector's value of $1,500 to $2,000. This one is white and the body (not the neck) has been refinished by an amateur, so it probably isn't a museum quality guitar. But it's a GREAT "player" and looks fine from a few feet away. Looks like a previous owner added a string tree (behind the locking nut), which required the truss rod cover to be slightly re-positioned and is held down by a single screw. Back control cover has a small piece missing (see pics). Comes with it's original Guild fitted case (which are practically impossible to find now-a-days and expensive if you can find one). This case has some damage on one end, stickers on the lid, and the latches are stiff, but the hinges and latches are all there and still work. (No case key included.) Case smells a little musty but not terrible........just what you'd expect from a guitar that sat unopened in someone's attic or basement for the last 10 to 20 years.
Just dropped the price......need to raise some cash!
Price has been lowered to $695.00 plus $79.95 shipping to any location in the continental USA. Anywhere else and you should contact me for a shipping estimate. This guitar in it's case is heavier than most and the package will be larger than normal guitars, due to the size of the instrument. Thanks for your interest...........and may God bless!
