Blues Vintage Guitars Inc. of Nashville, Tennessee is proud to offer what is simply one of our rarest finds – a completely original and unsoldered set of 1959 GIBSON Patent Applied For (PAF) pickups, potentiometers, input jack, 3-way switch, ALL STILL ATTACHED AND COMPLETE WITH THE ORIGINAL UNSOLDERED WIRING HARNESS. This exceptionally rare ensemble of Gibson 1959 PAF pickups and electronics hardware came out of a 1959 Gibson Super 400 that could not be repaired after sustaining considerable damage to both the body and neck. The guitar itself was deemed beyond repair, but the body was intact enough to successfully remove the electronics without having to disconnect or unsolder any of the wires, connections or parts.

Once again, you are looking at a matched set of two (2) original and very coveted Gibson PAF humbuckers from 1959, with all of the original wires, connections, pots (four of them), the input jack, and a single 3-way switch all STILL ATTACHED BY THE ORIGINAL SOLDER POINTS AND WIRING HARNESS!

The neck pickup reads approximately 7.9 ohms, and the bridge pickup reads right at 8.0 ohms, which makes them a pretty evenly matched pair. Suffice to say they will sound fantastic in just about anything you decide to put them in, whether it be another archtop, a Gibson Les Paul, or any other guitar worthy of this very rare find.

This is about as rare as it gets for original Gibson PAF pickups. Personally, we’ve never seen anything like this. They belonged to a very well-known Nashville luthier, and are now offered for sale exclusively by us, Blues Vintage Guitars, Inc.
