Fretless 5-String Jazz Bass - Jbass - Best Guitar Parts - Tacoma, Washington - U.S.A.

For sale is this 5-string fretless Jbass. The neck and body were built by Best Guitar Parts in Tacoma, Washington. I put it together a few years ago but no longer have the need for a 5-string. Therefore, it's time to find it a good home. Here are some specs:

Neck

- Maple with Richlite fingerboard (no finish)

- 35" scale length

- 24 "frets" with fingerboard overhang

- 12" fingerboard radius

- 1 7/8" nut width

- Top adjust truss rod

- Brass nut

- Hipshot Ultralite tuners (4+1)

- White side dots

 

Body

- Northern ash (the hefty stuff)

- Yellow lacquer finish

- Contoured heel

- Heavy-duty Omega bridge (Leo Quan Badass style)

- Schaller Strap Lock buttons (latche assemblies not included)

- Pearloid pickguard

- 9-volt battery cavity covered by pickguard

 

Electronics

- Seymour Duncan Quarter Pound 5-string Jbass neck pickup

- Seymour Duncan ceramic 5-string Music Man pickup

- Seymour Duncan 9-volt active preamp (volume, blend, bass, treble, and "slap mode" switching)

Weighing in at around 13 pounds, the bass does have some heft to it. However, by the same token, it's a very solid instrument. It has a nice action and the electronics provide a wide range of tones.  I'm including an audio recordings with the preamp controls centered.

I'd used it quite a bit over the last few years since putting it together so it has its share of dings and such. As mentioned above, I just don't have much of any use for it these days so I'd like to find it a good home where it would receive the use it deserves.
