Few 4-string electric basses are as flat-out cool or have as much powerful tone as the MusicMan StingRay. Introduced in 1976, the StingRay was the first bass to feature active electronics and advancements such as a 6-bolt neck joint, contoured body, superior neck truss-rod system, and rock-solid bridge, all of which keep it on top of the pack.

First introduced in 1976, the StingRay has been revered as one of the most iconic bass guitars in history. The StingRay was the first production four string bass to feature on-board active equalization. The flagship of the Music Man line, today's StingRay is the same as it was some forty years ago featuring a solid roadworthy construction, massive hardened steel bridge, elegant oval pickguard, 3+1 tuning key configuration, and the ever popular Music Man humbucker. All of which combined produce a look, feel and sound that are remarkably unmistakable.

This bass has an aftermarket Hipshot BT1 drop tuner installed. It can be easily swapped out for the original tuning machine, which is included in the hardshell case.

Condition
Excellent Condition; no major damage or wear. No dings or deep scratches. Some minor pick scuffs on body, above and below the pickups, shown in pics. The pick scuffs are minor, and are barely visible. The action and intonation are great, all electronics tested and working. This is a pre-owned instrument and there are signs of wear.
