Okay folks KILLLER 5 string Carvin here. USA craftsmanship. This bass was bought by a professional east coast player who developed carpal tunnel and, as a consequence, could no longer handle the wider 5 string neck. So he had this custom built by Carvin and paid nearly $2K for it but then could never use it. He keeps all of his instruments in pristine condition and this Carvin is no exception. No flaws or issues WHATSOEVER this is a crazy opportunity here. Check out pics and listing includes molded Carvin hard shell case.
This listing is for a Carvin XB75 extended scale 5-string bass, which is designed for the bassist who appreciates a tighter low B-string than is sometimes found on 34" scale basses. At 35¼", the longer scale produces more punch, but is just as comfortable to fret as a 34" scale bass. Physically, the XB75 is the same size as Carvin's LB models; the longer scale length is acheived by moving the bridge and reducing the number of frets to 22. The XB75 5-string bass has a maple neck-through design. Other standard features include an ebony fingerboard with white dot inlays, medium-jumbo frets, chrome hardware. This Bass has the P Series upgrade, which incorporates a Hipshot piezo bridge, individual amplifiers and trim pots for each string, and a blend control to blend the piezo with the pickups. The P Series upgrade creates a warm acoustic tone which enables the XB75 to emulate an acoustic upright bass, and works in conjunction with any of the bass pickups. Other Features are; - Alder Body with a Walnut Center Layer and a AAAA Quilted Maple Top - Maple Neck Thru - Rounded Body Sides - 35 1/4" scale Ebony Fingerboard with White Dot Inlays - 22 Medium-Jumbo Frets - Pick Ups are a HB2 Bridge Humbucker and a J99A Single Coil in the Neck Position - Hipshot A-style Piezo Bridge with Strings-thru-Body - Chrome Hardware - 18V active/passive, volume, pickup Blend, stacked concentric Bass and High Frequency, stacked concentric Mid Frequency and sweep
