I am selling the touring drum kit and road cases of Dennis Elliot (original drummer of Foreigner). $2.5K (USD$) - OR BEST OFFER
I'm sure given the extensive touring and $$ bands threw away on this sort of thing, this wasn't his one and only kit... but it must have been one of the nicest!!
I bought this kit directly from Dennis and his wife Iona (circa 1995 - 1996), once he had hung up his drum sticks for artistic woodworking. It was the only kit he owned at the time. I haven't played it much and the condition is as good now as when I bought it (i.e. great).
NOTE: this kit is outfitted with internal drum mic hardware suitable for live performances and studio recording.
This is a Premier Resonator Kit (made in England)
About Premier Resonators: For those unfamiliar with the Resonator concept, these drums are made with a standard shell with a thick reinforcing hoop, and then an interior "resonator" shell is installed inside the drum. No hardware penetrates the resonator shell, allowing it to vibrate freely when the drum is stuck. This also creates an air pocket inside the shell wall of the entire drum, which makes the drums louder and very "fat" sounding. The Resonators were Premier's top-of-the-line drums for years, from the late 70's and through the 1980's.

Suffice it to say, he was the drummer for all of Foreigner's "glory days"
The following items ARE INCLUDED in the sale:
• Two kick drums 27" circumference x 16" depth (i.e. bass drums)
• One mounted Tom Tom drum 16" circumference x 15" depth (and hardware required to affix drum to a stand)
• Two floor Tom Tom drums: mid is 17" circumference x 16" depth; big is 19" circumference x 16" depth
(including 6 legs to stand them on; 3 legs per drum)
• The following five road cases:
1. Calzone Cases 1 & 2: Two Kick Cases -- 33"W x 36.5" L x 29" D each
2. Calzone Case 3 & 4: 21" W x 46" L x 19.5" D (3 compartments in each case)
3. Case 5 (Barry Case): 29.5" W x 29/5" L x 24" D
NOTE: As I am sure anyone who has read this far will appreciate, the value of the road cases alone is worth purchasing this kit
