PHYSICAL CONDITION: Very Good - The bass shows very few signs of use or wear and looks great for its age. There is some very light fret wear and the edges of the fretboard have softened from playing. On the body, there are a couple spots on top that have slightly dulled from playing wear, although, they can only be seen when viewing the bass at certain angles. The bridge has become slightly curved and a super tiny piece of the wood saddle has chipped off. Otherwise, the bass looks great, is structurally solid and in very good physical condition.
WORKING CONDITION: Very Good - The bass sounds great. It is super easy to play up and down the neck with only a light touch, although the bass can keep up with heavier playing as well. All controls work great without excess noise or crackle. There is a light amount of finger noise and fret buzz while playing, although, that's to be expected with this particular type of design. Having the bass set up may alleviate some of this, however, it's part of the charm, not excessive, and doesn't hinder the player or distract from the great tone.
One thing to note, the stacked knobs tend to turn together, so unless one uses another hand to secure the control that is not being adjusted, rolling off the volume also rolls back the tone, and rolling off the tone will turn down the volume. It's a minor quirk, but worth noting. Overall, this great sounding bass is in Very Good working condition.
