This Vantage was made at the Matsumoku factory in 1982, serial number# 2060458.

Vantage was a guitar brand trademarked in 1977, and distributed by Jam Industries, Montreal, Canada, for the Canadian market. The Vantage concept was an initial motivation on the part of an established company (matsumoku kogyo) to design and build a product line that would reflect its own pride and expertise of manufacturing abilities (From the 1980 "marketing manual", published by MTI).

Matsumoku was a Japanese manufacturing company that existed between 1951 - 1987. They are best known as a manufacturer of high quality guitars.

This guitar does not come with a case. It has a few small dings and paint chips, but overall in nice shape and plays well. The scratch seen on face of guitar body is actually fairly light.
