For sale is a circa-2002 Fender Roscoe Beck V with Shoreline
Gold Metallic finish and Pau Ferro fretboard. If you’re not familiar with these
basses, they are often described as the best basses Fender has ever produced. I
bought this bass in 2017,
but didn’t use it much, as it was competing with my Fodera and Sadowsky and I
tended to play the active 5ers more often. It’s in very good condition, a
couple of little scratches and dings, no fret wear, no corrosion. There’s some
scratches and a small chip in the pickguard, and a light scratch on the back of
the body, the neck is pristine. Weight on my kitchen scale is 9 pounds 15
ounces, which is pretty light for a 5er. Nut width is 1 7/8". Serial
number SZ21074XX. It plays and sounds great. Everything works and it is all
original, except for the newer Fender locking strap buttons, and the volume and
tone knobs (originals included). This is a great bass but doesn’t get played, and it deserves
to have someone who will appreciate it. Includes the original G&G brown tolex
hardshell case and case candy shown.
I will ship it the original hard-shell case. It will be
wrapped in bubble wrap and packed in a new cardboard box.
