This is a RARE 1920’s S.S. Stewart Professional Mandolin with REAL Tortoise shell pickguard. Just a beautiful-sounding mandolin. A Beautiful Rosewood fretboard with minute fret wear and a superb neck profile. THE PERFECT MAHOGANY NECK! A nice Spruce top, Birdseye Maple back & sides with a Mahogany neck & headstock. The mandolin is in fair condition given its age. GIt has got great tone & playability with some lacquer checking on the front. Nut width is 1.61", 12" radius and weighs 1lbs 5oz.
