Enhance your vintage snare drum collection with this MIJ (made in Japan) red sparkle 1960's snare drum.This drum is superior in it's construction compared to the many imports sold during the 1960s.
It features a micro-sensitive style snare strainer similar to the '60s Gretsch design, die cast hoops,die cast lug casings factory-packed with felt blocks (see photos), a Rogers-style muffler andunusual 9/32" diameter tuning rods. Very good condition with light/moderate pits in the chrome. Thebottom internal reinforcement hoopwhen installed at the factory, was slightly misaligned for a span of 6" (see photo) - it is solidly connected and does not effect the drum's performance. Muffler has an era-correct vintage felt pad replacement The throw off has been burnished and highly polished to an attractive steel finish.
