Musicman Stingray 1988 Red-Heavy Birdseye Neck

This is a 1988 stingray and many will say this era cranked out some of the best rays and I would agree.This ray has a glossy-ish neck, its not a heavy gloss like the classics but its not a raw oiled wood like the newer rays. Its a satin type gloss that you would find similar to a MIA standard Fender.

The bass is 28+ years old so its not perfect, however its a solid 8 out of 10.

There is a few small chips where a small amount of finish is missing, one near the neckpocket a showed in a photo and a few on the back edge. There are some small dings and dents as well scattered throughout.

The neck is pretty clean. Again it has the satin gloss finish and shows a extreme amount of nice birdsye.

The electronics are all original as well, no issues. The jack had a crackle but some electronic cleaner appears to have cleaned it up fine. Everything is original to the bass down to the strap pins. All chrome is in good shape, the tuners however are a bit tarnished as usual. Despite its age I think Its relatively a low mileage ray.

The hardcase has some tears in the tolex, and the latches are bent up and not working. Worthy of repair as I think its the original case.

Its been cleaned, polished and strung with 45-100s a few days ago.
