Sound Port Technology Acoustic – SPT

Made in California USA -

SPT Guitars is a collaboration between two veteran guitar designers Joe Yui formerly of Schecter USA and Toshi Ohwa formally of Aria Japan. Together, they have succeeded in creating a completely new breed of acoustic guitars that is relevant to todays new generation of guitarists.

Joe pioneered the concept of “sound porting”, a novel guitar design that incorporates extra sound holes in the sides of the guitar body to produce the worlds first “surround sound” acoustic guitar. Toshi began his career apprenticing in the famous Fujigen guitar factory in Japan then went on to become the chief guitar designer and international sales manager for the prestigious Aria Guitar Company of Japan. Landscape Guitars is their first offering of the mid to highend line of professional quality sound port guitars.
