Here is a super cool piece! This is a 5.5x14 Slingerland Fancher Model snare drum with tube lugs from their first published catalog in 1928! This Fancher Model snare was released along with a tone flange in various finishes and hardware choices. According to the 1928 catalog the tone flange, “...rejuvenates and clarifies the tone and staccato notes “pop” out like the crack
of a machine gun.” This Sea Green Pearl design was adapted from Liberty Musical Instrument Company of Chicago's design right after Slingerland purchased the company in the mid 1920's and made it their own.
This snare looks absolutely gorgeous, and it is extremely hard to find one in this good of condition. It has the original snare wires, original Fancher Model badge, and close to original re-plated hardware. It also comes with a new Weather King Ambassador Batter Head by Remo.
This is a super cool and awesome piece of drumming history and would make an excellent addition to anyone's snare drum collection.
Don't let this beauty pass you by!
