Time to let another drum go! Too many sitting around not getting the love they deserve. Here’s the next one:
I’m selling my 1960 Holiday floor tom. 14” by 14”. Jet Black pearl. Tall Boy hoops. Sta-Tite legs and mounts. Incredibly smooth bearing edges on this 3-ply Jasper-shelled drum means tone for AGES. The drum is in great shape.
Serial number 17719 puts it at very early 1960. My 1959 16” blue sparkle floor tom with the transition badge has the serial number 13401, which shows how early the 14” drum is.
The B&B lugs do have the hairline cracks, but the drum still tunes up and sounds phenomenal. One lug has a structural repair, while the other is a double-ended lug. I’ve used this drum quite a bit and the lugs have never been a problem for me.
The bottom hoop was damaged while being shipped to me, so one of the tension holes is broken. The tension rod still stays in place and will hold tension.
Lightly used Coated Ambassador on batter, brand new Coated Ambassador on resonant side.
I’ve included a little demo of me running it through low, medium, and high tunings. Check below!
Asking $900 plus shipping. This floor tom is magical.
