Ernie Ball Music Man Axis Super Sport (USA Made) Black Sparkle WHSC

For sale is this USA made Ernie Ball Axis Super Sport in a sparkle black finish. It features a stop-tail bridge and Schaller locking tuners that hold the instrument in tune marvelously. The pickups on this are legendary DiMarzio's custom-wound just for the Axis and Reflex models. The neck is straight, a well-rounded "c" at the nut, tapering toward a "d" at the 22nd fret. The 5-way switch allows for pickup/tone combinations that cover a variety of thin and fat tones. As is true with every EBMM I've played, this one is just plain solid and well made. It comes with and aftermarket SKB hard shell case.

CONDITION: As a gigging instrument, this guitar has a fair amount of play-wear. There are two small chips in the finish above the neck pickup, and there is chipping where the top of the bridge meets the finish (see pics). The strap button on the top cutaway has once come loose causing finish chips around the button, but it is very secure now. There are the usual buckle dents and scratches in the back finish... everything but the back dings and scratches came out clearly in the pics. It has cosmetic wear and tear, but the instrument is fully functional and ready to be played.

These sell for around $2000 new, and pretty briskly at $1200 used. We'll price this low, and someone will get a great guitar at a great price.
