2020 Gibson Les Paul Custom - Black

Originally $4,500, now $4,300 ($200 price drop)

This is my bottom line price. Up for sale is my 1971 Les Paul Custom. First things first. Let me make this perfectly clear, this is a players guitar. If you're looking for an all original, great condition '71, look elsewhere. If you want a beast of a player and just all around bad ass guitar, this one is for you.

Below is an accurate description to the best of my ability. I also took a good amount of pictures to accurately represent the guitars condition. Some pictures are black-lit to show that no breaks have occurred.

You have two options for pickups. As shown in the pictures, I will include the original Patent black stickered T-Top Humbuckers (uncovered, covers are long gone). You also have the option of an EMG 81/85 set, which is currently in the guitar. The choice is yours.

The body is lightly finished checked all over. Binding is VERY nicely aged to a buttery hue.

No cracks, no breaks and heel joint is solid as a rock and stable as they come.

Bridge and tailpiece were replaced. The tailpiece is from RS Guitarworks.

Has waffle back tuners and comes with the original but very worn truss rod cover.

Neck was refinished during a Pro refret where the Fretless Wonder frets were pulled and refretted with larger frets (MUCH more playable) during the process it was the neck was rebound to keep the binding fret nibs (a very expensive chore during a refret)which explains the refin.

The nut was also replaced. At the time of replacement, the front of the headstock experienced two paint chips. These are merely chips. The tech provided the chips to me. I glued the paint back on. When you review the pictures understand what you see is not indicative of a headstock break.

The pots and electronics have been replaced. That said, I am including these original items as they help date the guitar. Also, when viewing the pictures notice how the inlays on the 17th and 19th frets are the same size. To my knowledge, Gibson changed this up in late '71, further helping to date the guitar.

Non original Hardshell Case that is in excellent condition.

This is a VERY killer player...a dragon slayer and the comfort of the neck hands down beats any Les Paul I've ever owned including several CS pieces and Historics. The right changes, the right originality and most importantly the right price. A road warrior but not beat on at all. Perfect for the age and set up to knock em dead. This looks and plays like a 40+ year old rock badass should be.

THIS IS A PLAYER AND A STAGE STAR. IT HAS ALL THE THINGS DONE TO IT YOU'D LOVE TO DO TO A 71' TO GET IT READY FOR WAR BUT PROBABLY WOULDNT HAVE THE BALLS TO DO TO A STOCK 71.

I am not hurting to sell. I've had this about 3.5yrs and am ready for something new. I am open to trades, but because of the hassle, I need to get very good value.
