1989 Orville by Gibson Les Paul Custom Electric Guitar with Case - Black
For sale - an Orville by Gibson Les Paul Custom in great condition and full working order. This guitar was built in 1988 at the Terada factory in Japan. This guitar is perviously used and exhibits indentations, scratches, and a good amount of buckle rash on back of guitar body. The front of the guitar is in good shape with a light dent near the tailpiece. On the top of the headstock there was some scuffing to the finish that was filled in with black paint. Bridge and tailpiece replaced with Gotoh brand parts, volume and tone knobs were replaced as well.
The "Orville by Gibson" guitars represented the highest tier of Japanese construction, outfitted from the factory with USA Gibson pickups. Made exclusively for the Japanese market and rarely seen outside its country of origin, this Orville is an official Gibson-licensed guitar and a result of a partnership between Gibson USA and their Japanese distributor Yamano Gakki.
The guitar has been professionally set up in-house which includes a fresh set of stings, polish and clean, oiling the neck, spraying out the pots if necessary, and setting the string height at a low-to-medium action. Includes hardshell case.
