I purchased this during Jay’s Official Reverb sale last month, and unfortunate circumstances require that I sell it. My loss is your gain. I’m a big fan of Jay’s work, so trust me, this hurts.
This is from 1965 by all accounts. It has been refinished, and the job was pretty good, though there are some imperfections. It’s not far off from what was probably the original cherry red finish.
Works great, and it’s in good shape. Mini-humbuckers sound great. You can see the original listing still on Jay’s official shop site. In addition, some Google sleuthing turned up a former listing at J Gravity String in St. Louis. That list price was $2500, so save some dough here. It will come with the COA signed by Jay, and I will also ship in the original box.
