Eastwood Guitars Moonsault
Inspired by the vintage Kawai electric guitar
This unmistakable moon-shaped electric guitar is Eastwood’s tribute to the vintage Kawai Moonsault. First introduced in 1982, production was very limited and original Moonsault guitars are very hard to find these days. Even if you are lucky enough to come across one, the price will likely be astronomical (pun intended) thanks to the collector’s market. Now, thanks to Eastwood, these super cool guitars are available again!
The Eastwood Moonsault features a much more “down to Earth” price point (pun also intended) designed to appeal to a wider audience. These tribute models sport “phase-of-the-moon” position marker inlays and a pair of humbucking pickups modeled after the vintage DiMarzio SUPER 2’s found on the originals. They also have a more user-friendly wiring scheme with a 3-way switch, Master Volume control and dual Tone controls.
