The EDB1 direct box from Whirlwind converts an unbalanced line, instrument or speaker level signal to low impedance balanced microphone level, which is then suitable for imputing to a console or microphone preamp.

The EDB1 is a passive device and therefore requires no external power supply and features a ground lift switch and a three position pad for selecting between line/instrument or speaker level signals. The unit is an economy direct box offering rugged construction while maintaining exceptional sound quality.
