1981-82 Yamaha 9000 RA Recording Series Drums: 7 pieces, Overall 8-8.5 Condition

Up for sale is a very rare kit: 1981-82 Yamaha 9000 RA Recording Custom Series, made in Japan. The drums normally seen during this era are the 9000D - all birch. The 9000 RA (also all birch) with the full length lugs are much scarcer, especially when made in Japan, not in Taiwan. And in the real wood finish, extremely difficult to find. Very desirable and scarce sizes of 8/10/12/13/16/16/22.

Drums are all in great shape with sparkling chrome. Minimal scuffs and imperfections on the maple exterior. They really shine as if they were just a couple years old. They have been appraised by Ned Ingberman at Vintage Drum Center.

These are all easily an 8-8.5 condition rating.

I'm pretty firm around my asking price. This kit will sell to the right person who will appreciate the uniqueness of a vintage Yamaha drum kit that sounds great and has held up beautifully for 37 years...with many more to go. You would be hard-pressed to find another original Yamaha 9000 kit of this quality.
