Owner; Rev Ralph G. Lee (retired)
“Follow Rock n Roll back to the source and you’ll travel past Jerry Lee Lewis, Elvis Presley, Chuck Berry, Little Richard and arrive at Sister Rosetta Tharpe. She was the giver and Godmother of Rock n Roll. Amen!” so said retired preacher Ralph G. Lee to the Milwaukee Gazette in 1974. Lee created a tribute guitar modelled on Sister Rosetta Tharpe’s iconic white 1962 Gibson SG as he couldn’t afford an original. “I play Sister Rosetta's songs every Friday night at the Milwaukee House Of Blues, loud and soulful, the way she she showed us how”.
(That's the story we're telling at Joe Doe Guitars)
(PS - due to CITES restrictions, this guitar will need an import certificate if it is to fly out of Europe. Let's chat if your home is the USA.)
