For your viewing pleasure is this wonderfully preserved one owner original Gretsch Broadkaster Name-Band outfit in stunning original blue glass glitter.  This set was very well cared for, and it is evident that it did not travel much and was protected by cases when it did.  It was made during a brief time in the late '50s / early '60s when some of the shells were the new 6 ply Jasper shell formula, and some were still the original 3 ply Jasper shell formula, and all the shells had silver sealer interiors and no paper tags.  This set is comprised of all 6 ply shells except for the floor tom, which is a 3 ply.  All four of the badges are the "skinny stick" badges, and look great.  The chrome plating is in gorgeous condition and displays wonderfully.  All of the edges are true and original, and all drums fit Remo heads with little effort.  There is no tom rash on the bass drum, and there is no snare rash on the tom.  The wrap is in all-around great condition.  It shows the characteristic small white marks here and there, as are commonly seen on these vintage glass glitter wraps, as well as some very fine polishing marks in the surface.  The blue has darkened a little over the years, but has done so very evenly on all four drums, and is quite attractive.  All of the seams are flat and tight.  This set is completely original with the exception of the front bass head.  All of the other heads are originals on top and bottom.  All of the tension rods and washers are original.  All of the mufflers are present and fully functional, including the Pratt bass muffler.  Both original cymbal L arms are included as seen in the pics.  The Micro-Sensitive Strainer works well and operates smoothly.  There are no extra holes or modifications of any kind.  It is unusual to find a  Gretsch set as original and nice as this one.  Enjoy!
