Late 1960’s vintage Satellite electric guitar, Made in Japan, good player

The Satellite strat (65-T) was aimed at the beginner market in the late 1960’s / early 70’s. They have now become collector’s guitars in their own right.

This is a very nice original guitar with a good neck, low action, and original fittings including the soap-bar pickups and tuners.

I have fitted some new strings.

The original Volume and Tone pots are fitted with two pickup switches.

The rosewood fingerboard is in good condition (although the Rosewood veneer is missing right down at the body-end). The frets are excellent. There are just a few light scratches. Nothing notable. They are mainly on the lower part of the body, on the back where someone has put the guitar down on the back. There is a tiny lacquer chip next to the neck pocket. The string trees have very light corrosion. I could have easily replaced them, but they are original. The rest of the metal is very good but with some very light (age related) marks.

The back of the neck is super-smooth and the body doesn’t have any nasty dings.

Overall, this Satellite stands out from the crowd. It’s in good condition and it sounds great. Oh, and the killer look sunburst looks great.

No tremolo bar.
