This exquisitely constructed and executed classic hand made F style mandolin was made in Texas in 2006. It is made from pearwood and Engelmann spruce. The neck is mahogany which is a nod to old pre-Loar era Gibson practice, and is unfinished for ease of play. It's owner was told that this
specific fine grained pearwood was harvested from Passernig's own property, hence the 'T'exas evident on the label. In a blindfold test, sonically, one would not know the mandolin was not maple as they have similar tight grain and density. It plays very well, it's quite
responsive, and has a radiused fingerboard. With honest playwear with nothing broken.
