Xist Series are a modern take on more time-honoured techniques. Crashes are powerful, their pitch neither are overly sharp, piercing or ear-splitting, peak instantly, blooming with a sound that is full and rich. Rides deliver a sweet-sounding ping, rapidly reinforced by a pleasing underlying wash which steadily builds but retains its composure, never blooming to a peak. Hats are warm and full-toned with a clear edge to them, opening brightly, swelling boldly and decaying harmoniously. When played quietly, hats sound rich and musical; taken up a few levels of velocity their top end come to the fore, slicing deftly through in playing situations.
