This is a very rare guitar made in the later sixties in Italy by Welson guitars, and badged Wurlitzer as there was some work and discussion between Welson and Wurlitzer in the USA; Wurlitzer being an American company known mainly for making organs and keyboards. This guitar is in a very good condition showing only minimal marks and has obviously had little and careful use during its fifty year life. It has a double cutaway fully bound sunburst body, bound neck, headstock and soundholes, and with a black scratchplate and black pickup surrounds. The chromed pickups are humbuckers, each with volume and tone controls and a three-way tone selector giving ''wild, sharp and solo'' tone choices - plus a three-way pickup switch. The bridge is a tune-o-matic with a tremolo tailpiece, all chromed - and all the chromework is excellent. The maple neck is bolted on and the fingerboard contains 22 frets with pearl block markers, and the headstock has the chrome covered three on a side tuners and the ''Wurlitzer'' logo. This guitar is a great looker but also a very good player.
