About This Listing

This listing is for a Vintage late 1960's Baldwin model 706 (V) semi-hollowbody electric guitar. This guitar was made in the U.K. around 1968 by Baldwin-Burns.

The guitar shows very heavy wear and is in fair but functional condition with a mix or original and changed parts so please review the pictures and complete description.

The pickups, pickguard, knobs, tuners and bridge are original. The tailpiece is changed but was possibly put together with the remnants of the original tailpiece. The hinge at the bottom of the guitar looks original but someone wired a chrome stop tailpiece around some hooks and wrapped it in leather. It's a really wild design and how I got the guitar. There is some type of plastic plate installed behind the tailpiece as well. Bottom line, is the tailpiece is changed and modified but more or less functions as a tailpiece should.

The guitar shows extremely heavy finish checking and the binding is in poor shape around the body. The finish checking is that type of finished checking that is very deep and looks like cracks in the body. The binding is in very poor shape and is cracking and starting to deteriorate.

The guitar is actually quite playable and has low and comfortable action and plays and sounds good. The electronics are all functioning properly.

The guitar comes with a gig bag and will be expertly packed for safe shipping.

Please look at the pictures and message with questions. Because of the condition this item is being sold AS-IS with no returns or refunds.
