Quilter 101 Mini 50W Head. Purchased from Quilter as a "factory refurb". No signs of use. Indistinguishable from New as an always on-hand "Hot-to-go" backup amp for Tube amps that might quit mid-gig.

I was already familiar with Quilter having done 30-odd high-end A/V installations that relied on using multiple QSC 200W Dual Channel PA Amps using 70V constant voltage distribution across multi-speaker arrays providing large auditoriums (even including Live arena settings for 15,000+ seats). Great quality, and bullet-proof dependability. For those who aren't familiar with QSC that stands for Quilter Sound Company - the other half of Pat Quilter's identify.

As expected, this 101 Mini 50W has a fantastic range of sound (as Phil Knight's YouTube link below attempts to demonstrate) with plenty of power seemly produced out of thin air. Compact, light weight, dependable, sounds great and has a broad tonally diverse pallet, takes pedals well and has an Effects Loop perfect for time-based and modulation pedals. I liked this 101 50W Mini head so much I invested in Quliter's top tier 200W Aviator Mach 3 head with even more Tone shaping options and 100W for each channel - hence the 101 Mini is now ready to pass-on for somebody else to enjoy.

Tons of tone-shaping options

Whether you’re into jazz, rock, surf, or blues, the 101 Mini has something for all styles. With a an easy-to-navigate interface on its front, the 101 Mini features Gain and Tri-Q controls along with Voice and a Hi-Cut and Master volume. The Tri-Q lets you scoop your midrange as well as add it back in when needed. The Voice function features five options: Full Q, Tweed, Jazz, Surf, and Lead. The Full Q is your natural vintage amp tone, while Tweed conjures the classic open-back cab amps of yore. Jazz voicing reduces gain for a cleaner tone, and Surf adds in a mid scoop for more bass and treble shine. Finally, the Lead voicing shapes your tone post-overdrive for solid punch with clarity.
