Gibson Melody Maker Short Scale Bass - 1966 - Sparkling Burgundy
See similar listings
Unique and somewhat rare SG-type short scale bass. The original "burgundy" as they called it was really a candy apple red on top of sparkling gold. It has since faded into a much more sophisticated (we think) color that's hard to capture on camera; a lot like 24kt gold. Looks different wherever you take it.
Back of the body looks sanded down but otherwise original finish.
Very light. Punching way above its weight. Plays and sounds awesome!
