Vintage Elkhart-Made Cornet with Hard Case & Vincent Bach Mouthpiece

Here’s an attractive American-made cornet ready for its next chapter! This instrument came to Butler Music as part of our recent purchase of an entire music store’s inventory.

The horn is marked as made in Elkhart, Indiana, and bears serial number 208671. Its exact manufacturer and model have not been confirmed.

Condition

The cornet presents nicely overall, with a bright brass-colored finish and cosmetic wear from previous use, including scratches, finish wear, and small dings. All three valves move freely.

Our specialty is guitars and other fretted instruments, so we have not professionally evaluated or play-tested this cornet. Free-moving valves do not establish its playing condition, and the buyer should budget for inspection, cleaning, and any necessary adjustment or servicing.

Included:

  • Cornet, serial number 208671

  • Vincent Bach Corp. mouthpiece, showing wear

  • Hard carrying case, showing exterior wear

This could be a worthwhile find for a brass enthusiast, repair technician, or player comfortable having a pre-owned instrument checked over before use.

Please examine the photographs carefully for cosmetic condition and identifying markings. You will receive the actual cornet, mouthpiece, and case pictured.
