Meet “Ike”. He’s small, he’s golden, he’s got four strings and a music lesson printed right on his face.
Made in Chicago by the Harmony Company sometime in the 1950s, this little soprano ukulele is a wonderfully quirky slice of American musical history. The natural birch body wears handsome burgundy-red trim, while the soundboard features a distinctive musical staff marked A–D–F♯–B—the original tuning, right there for anyone who needs a reminder.
He’s been cleaned up and fitted with a fresh set of D’Addario clear-nylon soprano ukulele strings. Cosmetically, he’s in good vintage condition, with scuffs and scrapes consistent with age. No case included.
A pint-sized vintage curiosity with plenty of personality.
