1998 Fender Jeff Beck Stratocaster, Midnight Purple with Original Hardshell Case in Good Condition. Original nut was changed to LSR and bridge to Fender Floyd Rose. There is some pickquard damage from a different humbucker that was installed. Guitar has playing wear. A used 1998 Fender Jeff Beck Stratocaster in Midnight Purple typically commands a higher premium than other finishes from the same era, generally ranging  between $3,800 CAD and $5,550 CAD.  Midnight Purple (Color Code #876) was discontinued shortly after the First Series wrapped production. Because it is a rarer, highly collectible metallic finish that often leans toward a striking "Burgundy Mist" or lilac tint under stage lights, it sits firmly at the upper tier of the vintage market value.  Real Market Benchmarks & Listings Because these specific 1990s models do not pop up every day, prices are heavily tied to historical sales and current collector listings on platforms like and Reverb:

• Near-Mint / Collector Quality: An all-original early-90s spec model in Midnight Purple recently surfaced on eBay listed at $5,550.00 CAD, reflecting the absolute ceiling for a pristine piece with its original vintage-style tweed case.
• Excellent / Player's Condition: Models with minor player wear or swirling on the gloss finish average between $3,800 CAD and $4,500 CAD.

Distinguishing 1998 Specs A genuine 1998 Midnight Purple Jeff Beck Stratocaster must feature: The Pickups: Gold Lace Sensor pickups configured in an HSS setup (technically a dual-coil dually Lace Sensor in the bridge that functions like a humbucker via a push-button coil splitter).

1. The Neck: A massive, "baseball-bat" deep-U profile neck.
2. The Nut: An LSR roller nut.
3. The Neck Plate: Depending on the exact month of assembly in 1998, the neck plate will transition from the standard 4-bolt "Fender" logo to the stamped "Fender Corona California" plate.
