The Electro-Harmonix Deluxe Memory Man 550-TT is a feature-rich analog delay pedal designed to produce warm, organic echoes with adjustable modulation. It combines the classic Deluxe Memory Man sound with modern performance controls, making it useful for everything from rhythmic rock delays to swirling, ambient soundscapes.

A quick naming note: the model is officially called the 550-TT, rather than 500-TT. Its analog delay circuit uses bucket-brigade technology to create echoes that gradually soften and change character with each repeat.

What does it do?

• Warm analog echoes: Adds repeats that sound rounded and natural rather than perfectly pristine.
• Tap-tempo delay: Lets you set the delay time by tapping a footswitch in time with the music.
• Chorus and vibrato: Modulates the delayed signal for movement, shimmer, and pitch variation.
• Self-oscillating effects: Increasing feedback can produce cascading repeats and dramatic, rising washes of sound.
• Expanded sound design: An effects loop lets you process the repeats separately, while an expression pedal can control selected parameters in real time.
