Electro-Harmonix Pico POG Polyphonic Octave Generator Pedal
The Electro-Harmonix Pico POG is a compact pitch-shifting pedal that adds notes one or two octaves above or below your original sound. It can make a regular guitar sound fuller, produce organ-like tones, or give riffs a deep, bass-like foundation—all without changing your instrument's tuning.
POG stands for Polyphonic Octave Generator. Polyphonic processing means the pedal can track multiple notes at once, so you can play chords as well as single-note lines.
What does it do?
- Add a lower octave: Give guitar riffs a heavier, bass-like character.
- Add a higher octave: Create bright, chiming tones or a 12-string-like effect.
- Combine multiple octaves: Build thick, organ-like sounds by blending your original signal with higher and lower notes.
- Transform chords: Add octave layers to full chords while retaining the original harmony.
- Create synth-like textures: Combine octave tones with distortion, fuzz, modulation, or reverb for more unusual sounds.
