Schecter Diamond Series Demon-7 Black Sparkle 2011 7-String Electric Guitar

Here for sale we have a Schecter Diamond Series Demon-7 Electric Guitar in Black Sparkle finish. Made in Indonesia in 2011, this guitar features a bolt-on construction comprising a Basswood body, Maple neck and 24-fret Rosewood fingerboard. Other appointments include a Hardtail bridge, Black tuners, Grey Pearloid Gothic Cross inlays, and a set of Duncan Designed HB-105/7 active humbucking pickups. These are wired to a master volume, master tone, and a three-way pickup selector. 

The Maple neck sits comfortably in the hand, with its Thin ‘C’ profile and Satin finish providing for smooth and effortless navigation up and down the neck. The Rosewood fingerboard provides a smooth surface under the fingers, whilst the 16” radius and X-Jumbo frets assist with string bends and vibrato techniques, delivering a smooth, quick playing experience in any position. The Double cutaway body design provides uninhibited access to the upper register, whilst the body contours offer a comfortable playing experience.

Amplified, this guitar has a thick low end grunt and sculpted mid range thanks to its pair of Duncan Designed Active Humbucking pickups. The HB-105/7 in the bridge pickup provides a high-output signal, with a more organic feel and open tonal response that allows the true character of your guitar to come through. The HB-105/7 in the neck position offers all the soloing clarity you could wish for, with sweet sustain and a warm, full sound that still possesses a clear attack along with shimmering clean sounds with subtler amp settings.

Aesthetic Condition:

Headstock: Overall good condition. The wood is exposed near the nut from a previous replacement of the nut. Screwholes are present to the rear face from the installation of the original tuning machines. All aspects of the headstock display light to mild scratching, indentations and discoloration, the  most apparent indentations can be seen to the top edge.

Neck: Overall very good condition. Light to mild indentations are present to the rear of the neck across the register, most notably behind the 12th fret where the mark is lightly felt in the playing position. Light to mild scratching and indentations are present to the fingerboard across the register, most notably at the first fret. These markings do not impact playability. 

Body: Overall very good condition. A mild chip to the finish is present to the rear face at the treble side lower bout, lightly exposing the wood beneath. Light to mild scratching is present to all aspects of the body, most notably to the rear face travelling from the center towards the neck plate.

Condition of Frets:

The frets demonstrate slight lifting in the higher register. The frets remain secure and this does not currently affect playability. The frets display light signs of use, not affecting playability. There is considerable material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform.

Current Set Up:

Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (4mm hex) not included.

Hardware: Overall very good condition. The bridge, bridge posts, ferrules, nut & tuning machines have been replaced. One of the original Schecter tuning machines remains installed and does not match the new Grover machines. No original parts are included. Two of the neck bolts are slightly mismatched and have likely been replaced. 

Structural: The neck displays a slight hump in the early register, this causes light buzzing, the new owner may choose to raise the action to alleviate this.

Height of the string from the 12th Fret-1.5mm - Bass 2mm
