The MXR M68 Uni-Vibe Chorus/Vibrato is a compact analog-style modulation pedal designed to recreate the swirling, pulsing tones of classic late-1960s and 1970s guitar music. It produces a warm, watery, almost rotating-speaker-like sound that can make a guitar feel more three-dimensional and expressive.

How it sounds

The M68 offers two distinct modes:

• Chorus mode: Blends your original guitar signal with a modulated signal, creating a rich, swirling, liquid-like tone. It works well for sustained chords, melodic lead lines, and clean guitar parts.
• Vibrato mode: Removes the dry signal and uses the modulated signal alone, creating a more pronounced pitch-wavering effect. The result can sound dreamy, disorienting, or almost seasick.

The pedal is especially suited to psychedelic rock, blues-rock, classic rock, and atmospheric guitar playing. Think of expressive, swirling lead tones associated with Jimi Hendrix and the late-'60s psychedelic era.
