A Modern Classic, Ready to Roar

This pre-owned 2022 ESP LTD EC-401 is a straight-up rock and metal machine, period. It takes that iconic single-cutaway body shape we all love and supercharges it with modern features for players who demand power, precision, and playability. Dressed in a sinister Black finish with multi-ply binding, it's got a look that's as aggressive as its tone. This one's in Very Good Condition, ready for its next chapter of high-gain glory.

The Heart of the Beast: Active EMG Power

The soul of this EC-401's sound comes from its legendary pickup combination. You get the EMG 81 in the bridge and the EMG 60 in the neck. The 81 delivers that tight, searing, high-output crunch with incredible note definition that has defined metal for decades. For rhythm work, it's a percussive and articulate powerhouse. Flip to the EMG 60 in the neck, and you get a surprisingly versatile active tone. It's thick, boosted, and harmonically rich, perfect for glassy clean passages or fluid, vocal-like lead lines that sing for days.

Built for Speed and Comfort

ESP knows what players need for performance, and this guitar delivers. The 3-piece Mahogany neck is carved into their popular Thin U profile, a shape that feels substantial enough for chording but slim enough for effortless speed. Combined with a 24.75" scale length and 24 Extra Jumbo frets on a smooth Macassar Ebony fingerboard, string bending is a breeze and upper-fret access is unrestricted thanks to the set-thru neck construction. This design also provides a massive boost in resonance and sustain, letting notes bloom and hang in the air.

- In business since 1976! Moore Music has been a premier brick-and-mortar guitar shop in Evansville, Indiana since shortly after opening in 1976. Founder, Pat Moore, instilled in his business the concept of old-school service that we build upon today. When the current owner, Brett Mulzer, took the store online as Moore Guitars in 2013, we quickly developed a reputation for honesty and integrity in all our interactions with our customers. That’s a prime reason why we’re the fastest-growing online guitar shop.

- Old School Customer Service: Nothing is more important than helping a customer even if we don’t make a sale. We believe that if we’re honest with you, and treat you right, you’ll be back. Call us, or chat with us online. We love talking about guitars, and we want to help you find your perfect instrument. Even if it’s not from us.... but we think it will be!

- Our sales staff are all musicians! What’s more important than communication? We speak your language. Whether you’re a beginner or a professional player, we’ve been in your shoes. A lot of aspects of the guitar are intangible, and a non-player just can’t understand. It’s a guitar thing. But we can talk about tone and feel in the same language you use. We know what it means to love an instrument, and we want to help you find your new love.

You should have NO disappointments when you see this guitar and hold it for its first strum! Please call the staff at Moore Guitars if you would like to have a personal “on the phone” description of this guitar. Thank you for looking at our listing!
